Raytheon's Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center, Huntsville AL Department is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer who will support radar capability development, integration, verification, and test activities that include Radar Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) program activities in Sunnyvale CA. You will be responsible for engineering activities that include radar integration planning and preparation for test events. You will work independently in collaboration with the program leads and provide schedule and technical progress updates., * Install, configure, operate and maintain Radar Testbeds consisting of networked electronic hardware setups installed with existing or new software builds in a SIL facility for performing analysis of regression test of the radar software, digital simulations, prepare procedures, and test cases.
- Work with subject matter experts regarding radar operations/performance and being the focal point for electronic/software integration activities ranging from interfacing hardware with software, configuring installed hardware/software to interface with networked systems, and resolving technical inquiries.
- Participate in integration and test planning/execution, executing verification/validation events, performing analysis, and providing status updates and reach-back assistance to program engineers/leads during testing schedules.
- Confirm test and evaluation processes are conducted according to established procedures for software and hardware and occasionally generate reports and presentations to internal or external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with program leads/stakeholders regarding test approaches, tracking configuration control, ensuring test-setup readiness, and participating in key processes (peer, gate, and test readiness reviews).
- Travel is expected to be 10% to Huntsville AL and Woburn MA., * Experience with MATLAB, Linux Operating Systems, and Shell scripting for performing analysis, installing/debugging software, integrating and configuring electronics, and networking/troubleshooting electronic system connections.
- Experience installing and configuring electronic hardware, software installations on hardware devices, network configurations, and operations of software in SIL/HWIL facility and having a general understanding of Data Distribution Service (DDS), Quality of Service (QoS) and other basic networking principles.
- Experience with creating plans/procedures, schedules, test scripts, maintaining audit records, and/or conducting performance analysis for verifying and validating radar performance.
- Strong customer interaction skills and willingness to perform tasks with various site facility leads, while communicating with remote stakeholders, or at a stakeholder site.
- Certifications in CompTIA Network+ and or CompTIA Security+.

Requirements
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, * Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Linux, and/or Unix.
- Experience with Doors and systems integration, test, and/or verification.
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
