Job description

  • We support live productions for TNT Sports and Discovery/Eurosport.
  • We support sports productions such as football, cricket, rugby, and cycling.
  • We provide tier 2 broadcast engineering support for studios, production, and post-production.
  • We work closely with Tier 1 teams in Chiswick and Paris.
  • We collaborate with Tier 2 and Tier 3 Centre of Excellence teams to resolve issues and improve broadcast platforms.
  • We contribute to wider projects alongside leading industry experts.
  • We ensure delivery of engineering requirements alongside other engineering teams.
  • We work with Production to ensure the smooth running of live events.
  • We implement ticketing through to resolution and carry out repairs and maintenance.
  • We support team projects and assist the Projects team with large-scale work.
  • We ensure shared technical documentation is updated and communication remains effective.
  • We assist Management and Lead Broadcast Engineers as required.
  • We respond to stakeholders in a positive, friendly, and proactive manner.
  • We follow a health and safety culture with relevant maintenance and safe operating practices.

Requirements

  • We are looking for a strong understanding of the production engineering environment.
  • We are looking for a strong understanding of the broadcast chain.
  • We are looking for outstanding troubleshooting skills and the ability to fault find from first principles.
  • We are looking for someone who stays calm and performs well in high-pressure, time-critical broadcast production environments.
  • We are looking for extensive broadcast technical background, including IP video 2110, AES67, NMOS, UHD and HD video, HDR and SDR video, 5.1 and Dolby Atmos audio, graphics, VR/AR, replay, and codecs.
  • We are looking for a good understanding of IT technologies and related challenges, including network, virtualization, storage, cloud services, and security.
