Job description
- Develop architectural roadmaps, vision documents and strategic technology plans that support long-term business objectives.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, enterprise-level solutions.
- Lead the transformation of legacy platforms into modern cloud-native architectures.
- Provide architectural governance and ensure solutions align with security, scalability and best-practice standards.

- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing technical insight and influencing strategic technology decisions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative approaches that improve scalability, resilience and operational efficiency.
- Facilitate collaboration between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment across the business.
- Mentor engineers and technical leaders, helping to drive architectural excellence and technical best practice.
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical challenges and critical architectural decisions.

Requirements
- Proven experience in a dedicated Software, Solution or Enterprise Architecture role within a large-scale or complex organisation.
- A track record of designing and delivering enterprise-grade software systems and transformation programmes.
- Experience creating architectural roadmaps, vision documents and strategic technology plans from business requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage, influence and present to senior leadership and C-suite audiences.
- Experience modernising legacy platforms and delivering cloud transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of modern software architecture principles, including microservices, distributed systems and cloud-native design.
- Technical expertise across Microsoft technologies, including C#, .NET, WPF, SQL Server and associated enterprise platforms.
- Experience working with modern technology stacks such as GoLang, Kubernetes and public cloud environments, ideally GCP.
- A solid understanding of software governance, security, scalability and architectural best practices.
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery, ensuring architectural decisions support both business and technical objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
- A passion for mentoring teams, driving continuous improvement and raising technical standards across engineering functions.
