Job description
As an Analytics Engineer, you will help build and support enterprise data solutions for Lincoln Financial's Workplace Solutions Data Analytics & Reporting team. In this role, you will work with data from multiple business systems and help transform it into trusted, analytics-ready datasets that support reporting, dashboards, and business decision-making. You'll partner with analysts, business stakeholders, solution architects, and developers to design data transformations, improve data quality, support data migration initiatives, and contribute to the development of an enterprise data mart. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and building solutions that make information easier to understand and use.
What you'll be doing
Data Engineering & Integration
Develop and maintain data transformation and integration processes. Build and support data pipelines that move and prepare data for reporting and analytics. Analyze source system data and help standardize it for downstream consumption. Support data migration efforts involving legacy and modern platforms. Troubleshoot data issues and assist with root cause analysis.
Analytics & Data Modeling
Create and maintain analytics-ready datasets used for reporting and business analysis. Support the development of enterprise data marts and reporting solutions. Work with business partners to understand reporting and data requirements. Help document business rules, data definitions, and transformation logic. Contribute to efforts that improve data consistency and usability across reporting assets.
Data Quality & Governance
Perform data validation and reconciliation activities. Investigate data discrepancies and support issue resolution. Help implement data quality checks and monitoring processes. Maintain documentation related to data lineage, transformations, and reporting definitions.
Team Collaboration
Partner with analysts, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver data solutions. Participate in design discussions, code reviews, testing activities, and solution walkthroughs. Translate business requirements into development tasks and technical solutions. Follow established SDLC, change management, and development standards., This position may be subject to Lincoln's Political Contribution Policy. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. 1-3+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, software development, or a related technical role. Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases. Familiarity with Python or another programming language used for data processing and automation. Experience working with structured datasets and performing data analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-haves: Experience building reports, dashboards, or analytical datasets. Experience with ETL or data integration concepts. Exposure to data warehouses, data marts, or dimensional modeling concepts. Experience with Business Objects, Tableau, or similar reporting tools. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Internship, co-op, academic project, or professional experience involving data pipelines or analytics solutions. Application Deadline

The pay range for this position is $55,700 - $100,200 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
