Job description

  • Assemble and modify printed circuit boards using surface-mount (SMT) and through-hole soldering techniques.
  • Build and wire small electrical and mechanical assemblies to support engineering projects.
  • Assist engineers with hardware debugging, testing, and prototype validation.
  • Perform functional testing using laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and bench power supplies.
  • Repair and rework prototype circuit boards when required.
  • Maintain accurate test records and support engineering documentation.
  • Organize laboratory equipment, components, and workstations to ensure an efficient work environment.
  • Follow established procedures while supporting product development activities.

Requirements

We are seeking a hands-on Systems and Applications Technician to support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic hardware in a fast-paced engineering environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with prototype electronics, has strong PCB soldering skills, and wants to contribute to the development of innovative power electronic technologies.

  • Working knowledge of common electronic components, including resistors, capacitors, inductors, and diodes.

  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies.

  • Basic understanding of electronic circuits and hardware assembly.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.

  • Previous experience in an electronics laboratory, manufacturing, engineering support, or prototype environment is preferred.

  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Bethlehem, PA., * PCB assembly and rework experience

  • Prototype hardware testing

  • Electronics troubleshooting

  • Wiring and cable assembly

  • Reading basic electrical schematics

  • Technical documentation experience, * Have you independently assembled and reworked printed circuit boards (PCBs)?

  • . Are you proficient in using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and bench power supplies?

  • Do you have experience identifying and working with common electronic components (resistors, capacitors, inductors, etc.)?

  • Have you worked in an electronics laboratory, prototype, R&D, or electronics manufacturing environment?

Experience:

  • hands-on SMT and through-hole PCB soldering: 3 years (Preferred)
