Job description
Catholic Charities Atlanta is seeking a detail-oriented Database Analyst to support donor relations and financial documentation processes. The role involves managing confidential data and donor giving information using Blackbaud's Raisers Edge software, ensuring accurate records are kept, generating customized reports, donor correspondence, and assisting with direct mail fundraising appeals. The position collaborates closely with staff regarding major gift prospect research and the recruitment process for a weekend-long fundraising event held every other year., * Manage the donor database, records, and files, including updating policies and protocols, governing its operations and serving as the point-of-contact for its use.
- Process all donations, including coding and entering all constituents, gifts, pledges, and proposals.
- Prepare and mail donor acknowledgement letters, tax receipts, and end-of-year giving statements. Create gift reports detailing corporate, foundation and individual giving transactions. Create customized reports and coordinate year-end information for the audit and annual report.
- Maintain the accuracy and currency of donor information, and activities within the database, including support and documentation for users.
- Provide analysis of donor activity as needed for Finance and Board of Directors committees.
- Prepare daily cash receipts journal, monthly department revenue dashboard, including line-item projections and gifts received.
- Ensure data accuracy by performing regular audits and updates. Analyze data to identify trends, engagement opportunities, and fundraising insights.
- Responsible for meeting with immediate supervisor on a regular basis and actively uses supervision to strengthen skills and grow as a professional. Responsible for meeting individual benchmarks and other performance measures. Addresses areas of concern in a timely and productive manner. Remains open to feedback from team members and supervisors.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a highly organized problem solver, who enjoys challenges, working with extensive amounts of data, and is committed to the mission of the organization. BA/BA degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Nonprofit Management, or a related field is necessary., * Undergraduate degree in relevant field
- 2-4 years of direct work experience
- Proficiency using Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge or ability to learn the system.
- Experience using Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point, and other relevant software.
- Ability to work with donors, staff, and volunteers in a supportive manner.
- Ability to engage in fast-paced, challenging and changing environments.
- Experience working in a nonprofit development or fundraising environment.
- Ability to plan, prioritize and follow through within a given timeframe is critical.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate reports.
- Excellent written communication skills for donor correspondence.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document preparation.
- Experience in prospect research and capacity ratings.
