Job description

As a Senior Data Modeler, you will play a key role in designing and delivering robust, scalable data models that enable our clients to unlock the full value of their data. You will contribute to critical data initiatives by creating reusable, business-aligned data assets that address complex business challenges. Your work will directly support enterprise data strategies and the implementation of modern, automated data solutions. You will work closely with client teams to ensure data model consistency, quality, and alignment with enterprise architecture and strategic priorities. By joining Visium, you will work alongside experts in modern data platforms, data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI specialists. Our focus is on enabling customers to make their AI use cases enterprise-ready. Since the quality and preparation of data are crucial for AI success, your role will ultimately empower customers to be ready for an AI-driven future. As an Expert Data Modeler, this is part of your day-to-day activities:

  • Translate complex business needs into robust models (focus Data Vault 2.0), including conceptual, logical, and physical layers.
  • Design and implement scalable, auditable data products using Data Vault patterns.
  • Ensure modeling consistency and alignment with enterprise standards, especially across multiple data domains and delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders and data teams to clarify requirements, define model scope, and align on delivery timelines.
  • Integrate models with modern data platforms with state-of-the-art toolchains (CI/CD, Git)
  • Act as a subject matter expert on modeling approaches, mentoring peers and guiding teams on advanced Data Vault use cases.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in data modeling, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale data solutions.

  • Experience in data modelling techniques (Dimensional, Data Vault)

  • Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling and their application in modern data ecosystems.

  • Solid grasp of data governance principles, metadata management, and maintaining business term alignment across models.

  • Experience working in agile environments with a DevOps toolchain (CI/CD, Git, Automation tools)

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional client teams.

  • Fluency in SQL and experience integrating models into data pipelines and BI/reporting layers.

  • Ability to mentor peers and guide modeling decisions, serving as a trusted expert within project teams. Plus:

  • Data Vault 2.0 certification

  • Experience with dbt and Databricks

  • CI/CD practices and pull request workflows for data models. We know that great candidates might not check every box. If you're excited about this role and believe you could contribute, we'd love to hear from you.

About the company

Visium combines strategy, frontier AI, and deep regulated-industry expertise to build and deploy AI-native systems that reinvent how businesses operate - unlocking the value of AI at scale. We're not a strategy firm that ships slide decks and walks away. Not a tech consultancy that builds what won't get adopted. Not a product company chasing problems it doesn't understand. We're all three at once: strategy, deep technical and integration expertise, and product, working as one. That combination is our flywheel. Consulting keeps us close to the hardest real-world problems. Products let us solve them at scale. Every engagement sharpens our products; every deployment makes the next engagement faster, deeper, and more certain. We're obsessed with outcomes. While 95% of enterprise AI pilots never reach production, Visium is built to be the 5% delivering productised AI that compounds in value, not point solutions that deliver marginal gains. We are AI-native, not AI-adjacent. We don't bolt AI onto broken workflows; we redesign them with AI at the core.
