Job description
As our Pricing Data Scientist, you'll be working closely together with talented colleagues on the newest technology. With the pricing & analytics team, you'll be dynamically adjusting our Spanish pricing models, utilizing market data and performing conversion analysis to optimize profitability. This role requires meticulous data analysis and management, aimed at identifying market trends, detecting potential fraud, and enhancing pricing accuracy through statistical modeling, using both classical and AI methods. You will develop alert systems and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing insightful reports on pricing strategies and work from our Spanish and Dutch office.
Requirements
- 10+ years hands-on experience as (pricing) actuary in the Spanish P&C market with a focus on commercial pricing in car insurance (experience within a digital insurance model is a plus);
- A university degree in a relevant (mathematical) field;
- Exceptional quantitative, logical, and analytical abilities, with a knack for solving complex problems;
- Solid understanding of actuarial and the latest data science (machine learning) & AI techniques;
- Proficiency in SQL, R (or Python), foundational AI models and cloud computing;
- Familiarity with programming best practices, such as version control using Git;
- Strong communicative skills;
- Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset;
