- Design, configure, integrate, and maintain Linux-based Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) environments.
- Deploy and administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers and KVM virtualization platforms.
- Support system integration activities involving compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and cybersecurity technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop infrastructure solutions that meet technical, operational, and security requirements.
- Perform system installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Support system verification, validation, and integration testing activities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, engineering diagrams, installation procedures, and configuration baselines.
- Participate in technical design reviews and engineering planning activities.
- Identify technical risks, integration issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support cybersecurity hardening efforts and ensure compliance with applicable security requirements.
- Provide technical support during customer demonstrations, integration events, and system deployments.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with a strong background in Linux infrastructure, virtualization, and systems integration to support a U.S. Navy Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) program. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, deploying, and integrating enterprise infrastructure using Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) virtualization technologies.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, this individual will support the design, integration, testing, and sustainment of secure infrastructure solutions that meet customer requirements. The Systems Engineer will collaborate closely with the Chief Engineer, Hardware Engineers, Cybersecurity Engineers, and Government stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of program objectives.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).

Active Secret Security Clearance.

7+ years of Systems Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering experience supporting DoD or Federal Government programs.

Strong experience administering and engineering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.

Experience deploying, configuring, and managing KVM virtualization.

Experience designing and integrating enterprise infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, and virtualization.

Experience troubleshooting Linux operating systems and infrastructure components.

Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle processes, including system integration, verification, and testing.

Strong communication and technical documentation skills.

Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).

Experience supporting U.S. Navy or Department of Defense programs.

Experience with virtualization environments.

Familiarity with Cisco networking technologies.

Experience working in classified environments.

Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, or similar automation tools).

Experience supporting cybersecurity requirements including STIG implementation and RMF compliance., * U.S. Citizenship Required
