Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Information Technology Technician to support the daily operations of the organization's IT systems. This role is responsible for providing technical support, maintaining hardware and software, and ensuring reliable system performance in a remote work environment. The ideal candidate is technically capable, customer-focused, and able to troubleshoot a wide range of IT issues., * Provide technical support to end users via phone, email, chat, and remote tools

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and applications
  • Assist with user account management, password resets, and system access
  • Support network connectivity, VPN access, and cloud-based platforms
  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and procedures in ticketing systems
  • Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff as needed
  • Perform routine system updates, patches, and maintenance tasks
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and best practices
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees from an IT perspective

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3+ years of experience in IT support or technical roles
  • Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are preferred
