Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Back End applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and microservices to support media platforms and content delivery systems.
  • Build high-performance, secure, and reliable Back End services for large-scale applications.
  • Collaborate with Front End developers, product owners, QA teams, and DevOps engineers.
  • Integrate applications with databases, messaging systems, and third-party APIs.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews.
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement timely fixes.
  • Follow Agile/Scrum development methodologies and CI/CD best practices.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot to build scalable, high-performance Back End applications for the Media & Entertainment industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and developing microservices, REST APIs, and cloud-ready applications while working with media workflows such as content management, video streaming, digital publishing, or OTT platforms.

Media Domain experience is mandatory., * 5+ years of experience in Java Backend Development.

  • Strong programming experience in Java 8/11/17.
  • Excellent knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and Microservices.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Hibernate/JPA.
  • Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging technologies.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth2 and JWT.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Mandatory Domain Experience

Candidates must have hands-on experience in the Media & Entertainment domain, including one or more of the following:

  • Video-on-Demand (VOD)
  • Live Streaming Platforms

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of Redis or other caching technologies.
  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with GraphQL.
  • Exposure to event-driven architecture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with high-volume, low-latency applications.
  • Exposure to video streaming protocols (HLS, MPEG-DASH).
  • Knowledge of DRM, media encoding, or content delivery workflows.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
