Job description
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Back End applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices to support media platforms and content delivery systems.
- Build high-performance, secure, and reliable Back End services for large-scale applications.
- Collaborate with Front End developers, product owners, QA teams, and DevOps engineers.
- Integrate applications with databases, messaging systems, and third-party APIs.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement timely fixes.
- Follow Agile/Scrum development methodologies and CI/CD best practices.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot to build scalable, high-performance Back End applications for the Media & Entertainment industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and developing microservices, REST APIs, and cloud-ready applications while working with media workflows such as content management, video streaming, digital publishing, or OTT platforms.
Media Domain experience is mandatory., * 5+ years of experience in Java Backend Development.
- Strong programming experience in Java 8/11/17.
- Excellent knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and Microservices.
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging technologies.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth2 and JWT.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Mandatory Domain Experience
Candidates must have hands-on experience in the Media & Entertainment domain, including one or more of the following:
- OTT/Video Streaming Platforms
- Digital Media
- Broadcasting
- Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Video-on-Demand (VOD)
- Live Streaming Platforms
- Digital Publishing
- Media Asset Management (MAM)
- Content Delivery Networks (CDN)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of Redis or other caching technologies.
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch.
- Experience with GraphQL.
- Exposure to event-driven architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Experience with high-volume, low-latency applications.
- Exposure to video streaming protocols (HLS, MPEG-DASH).
- Knowledge of DRM, media encoding, or content delivery workflows.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
