Job description
We are hiring a Technology Consultant to provide onsite support for high performance computing (HPC) environments and enterprise storage systems for a global technology company. In this role, you will deliver technical consulting to external customers and internal project teams, ensuring system stability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The emphasis is on hands on execution, technical depth, and proactive problem solving. This is a 40-hour-per-week, 8-month contract (possible extensions), 100% onsite in New Haven, CT (06484). This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and a 401K are offered. Responsibilities
- Provide technology consulting and technical leadership to external customers and internal project teams.
- Deliver onsite technical support for HPC environments (SGI 8600 compute systems) and supporting infrastructure.
- Administer and provide operational support for HPCM cluster management.
- Support and monitor the DMF storage environment, coordinating upgrades and system health with the DMF team.
- Perform CDU cooling system maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Conduct hardware diagnostics and coordinate with site administrators to maintain system stability.
- Shape technical direction and strategies, contributing to HP's solutions portfolio and customer satisfaction.
- Generate and cultivate new business opportunities through technical expertise and consulting.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in technology consulting, HPC, or enterprise infrastructure support.
- Strong knowledge across at least three major technology areas, including VMware vSphere, vCenter, VMotion, Operations Orchestration, and Integrated Lights Out (iLO).
- Hands on experience with HPC cluster management, DMF storage, and cooling systems.
- Proven ability to deliver technical solutions, customer satisfaction, and process improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
