As a Software Engineer (JAVA/ Openshift/Kubernetes) within PNC's C/IB MIS Accelerator organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh PA or Strongsville OH., We are seeking a skilled API Developer with strong Java and Spring Boot experience to build and support outer-facing APIs in a public cloud environment integrated with Salesforce. This role is primarily responsible for Spring Boot functionality, API design, and collaboration across development, QA, and product teams. The ideal candidate writes clean, well-documented code, is comfortable being involved in QA efforts, and grows into a trusted subject-matter expert (SME) for Product Owners., * Develops, tests and implements software solutions.
- Designs software solutions to address business needs.
- Writes code, tests and deploys software.
- Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
- Maintains and debugs software.

Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience deploying and supporting applications on
OpenShift/Kubernetes.
- Primary experience developing outer APIs.
- Familiarity with reverse proxies in a public cloud environment.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, especially for virtual services.
- Strong belief in best practices and clean coding standards.
- Ability to write clear, maintainable code with meaningful comments.
- Comfortable asking questions and requesting help when needed.
- Excellent communication skills; able to work with both technical and
business-facing teams.
- Strong collaboration skills with developers, testers, and QA teams.
- Willingness to support applications during QA and Production issue
resolution.
- Ability and motivation to grow quickly into an API expert in the Salesforce, Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
