Job description
- Manage and optimize Edge Services across multiple providers, including Cloudflare, Fastly, and Gcore, configuring DNS, CDN, Edge Computing, Access Control, and WAF policies.
- Design and implement cloud-agnostic failover strategies and high-availability solutions to ensure service continuity.
- Monitor and fine-tune HTTP traffic handling, global load balancing (GSLB), and caching strategies to minimize latency and optimize content delivery at a global scale.
- Orchestrate configurations for a large-scale domain portfolio, including automated SSL/TLS provisioning and unified security policy enforcement across different platforms.
- Maintain reusable and scalable configurations using Terraform or OpenTofu to manage diverse provider environments, ensuring infrastructure is auditable and consistent.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement robust Rate Limiting, DDoS mitigation, and Bot Management across the network and application layers.
Requirements
- 2+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability, or related roles with a focus on Cloudflare services.
- Solid understanding of HTTP protocol, caching principles, and CDN concepts.
- Experience managing Cloudflare DNS, Firewall Rules, Page Rules, Workers, and related services.
- Strong knowledge of Nginx (or similar: Envoy, HAProxy) for reverse proxy and load balancing.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code concepts and practical experience with Terraform.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, and security best practices.
- Experience working with Linux environments and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)., * Experience with Cloudflare Enterprise features (Argo, advanced caching, Cloudflare Workers KV).
- Experience with performance testing and analysis tools for CDN and edge optimization.
- Familiarity with container orchestration systems (Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Basic security knowledge (SSL management, security headers).
