Job description
To start as soon as possible, full time / part time, permanent As Data Architect, you provide architectural guidance for the group-wide data architecture and the data-mesh operating model. You turn "domain ownership and trusted data products" into a working standard the RWE Operating Companies actually adopt. About the role
- Define and maintain the federated data-mesh reference architecture and the few must-follow interoperability standards (identifiers, core field names, metadata).
- Set the data-product standard (owner, contract, quality, documentation) and the reusable blueprint together with our RWE business units.
- Design the shared data-product catalogue / marketplace and the lakehouse architecture; define how domains publish and consume.
- Support domains in defining boundaries (including cross-org domains) and mapping owners.
- Keep choices model-/cloud-agnostic and exit-ready; input to vendor consolidation.
Requirements

University degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology or related field.

Several years of hands-on working experience in Data architecture and Data mesh design in a regulated decentral environment.

Deep data architecture and modelling skills as well as proven knowledge of data-mesh / data-product design at scale.

Firm with Databricks / Unity Catalog, plus Fabric or Snowflake; lakehouse and open table formats.

Experience in Metadata, cataloguing and interoperability standards.

Ability to build strong influence and enablement across federated business units. Advantageous, but not essential

Experience in the "Energy-sector data context" is a plus.
