Job description
Our product teams build high-assurance identity, signing and authentication services. Your job is to make it effortless for them to deploy and run those solutions reliably, both on our own cloud and on the infrastructure of our customers and partners. This includes on-premise and EU-sovereign environments. You sit between our engineering teams and the platforms their software runs on. On one side, you build the internal platform, tooling and templates that let product teams ship independently and safely. On the other, you make our solutions portable and reproducible so they deploy cleanly into a partner's data centre or a customer's cloud with the same rigour we hold ourselves to. You'll have extensive freedom to bring your own judgement and initiative to a high-assurance environment where security and uptime are non-negotiable. What you'll do
-
Build and own the internal developer platform. Self-service deployment, paved-road pipelines and tooling that let product teams release independently;
-
Package our solutions for portable, reproducible deployment across our cloud, partner data centres, on-premise and EU-sovereign environments;
-
Design and operate CI/CD pipelines with proper change, release and artefact management;
-
Own our infrastructure-as-code, keeping environments reproducible, auditable and consistent across very different targets;
-
Run and evolve our Kubernetes workloads across multiple clouds and customer environments;
-
Increase observability, and give teams the metrics, logging and tracing they need to run what they build;
-
Automate provisioning, configuration and patch management to keep deployments secure and current;
-
Help customers and integration partners deploy and operate our solutions, and document the path so they can do it confidently;
-
Contribute to our eIDAS High, ETSI, SOC 2 and GDPR compliance initiatives;
-
Help set engineering standards and mentor colleagues as the team grows. What success looks like
-
First 3 months: you understand our stack and deployment targets, and have shipped improvements to our pipelines or tooling.
-
By 6 months: product teams are deploying through tools and templates you own, with less friction and fewer hand-offs.
-
By 12 months: our solutions deploy reproducible across internal and external infrastructure, and you're setting the standards others build on. What you bring, We offer you a challenging role in an innovative and transparent company, working alongside a small and enthusiastic team with a positive mindset. You'll have plenty of opportunity to work across different projects and make a meaningful contribution. Your input is valued and you'll be directly involved in decision-making. As a full-time employee you can expect fair compensation, a daily free lunch, 30 holidays, pension plan, a flexible working setup, and a real say in how we build.
Requirements
-
A completed Master's degree (or equivalent experience);
-
At least 5 years building and operating cloud platforms and deployment pipelines in production;
-
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration;
-
Deep infrastructure-as-code skills, ideally Terraform;
-
Production experience on at least one major cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure); experience with multi-cloud, on-premise or EU-sovereign environments is a strong plus;
-
Proven CI/CD experience and a solid scripting/automation background (Python / Go / Bash);
-
Experience making applications portable and reproducible across environments (containers, Helm, GitOps or similar);
-
Hands-on experience with observability tooling and enabling teams to operate their own services;
-
Solid grounding in cloud security and operating regulated or high-assurance environments;
-
A track record of working autonomously and taking ownership of complex systems;
-
Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Nice to have
-
Exposure to eIDAS, ETSI, SOC 2 or other compliance frameworks;
-
Experience supporting customers or partners deploying software into their own infrastructure;
-
Familiarity with HSMs, PKI or secure-hardware environments;
-
Experience with GitLab CI/CD and GCP;
-
Familiarity with agile methodology and scrum. Who you are You enjoy removing friction for other engineers and take pride in tooling that just works. You take ownership end to end, communicate openly, and balance speed with the rigour a high-assurance environment demands. You're self-motivated to explore new technologies and keep track of developments in automation, reliability and security. You work well independently and as part of a small, sharp team.
