Windows Automation & Platform Engineer (Majesco) - Fully remote
About the Role
We are seeking a Windows Automation & Platform Engineer to join a team supporting a business-critical Majesco-based billing platform. This role is focused on ensuring the stability, availability, performance, and continuous improvement of a highly available Windows server environment that supports core customer operations.
You'll play a key role in platform support, automation, monitoring, incident resolution, patch management, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will combine strong Windows infrastructure expertise with a passion for automation and continuous improvement. Experience with Majesco is advantageous but not essential. Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain a highly available Windows-based production environment operating 24/7.
- Manage and administer clustered Windows server environments supporting critical business applications.
- Develop and enhance automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Create automated remediation and self-healing processes for common platform issues.
- Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and performance management capabilities.
- Investigate platform incidents, performance issues, and service disruptions, performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes.
- Support Windows and application patching activities, ensuring minimal business impact.
- Assist with platform provisioning, deployment, and environment management.
- Support application integrations and troubleshoot synchronisation or data-related issues.
- Work with development and business teams to support safe promotion of changes from development through to production environments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase platform stability, resilience, and operational effectiveness.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong Experience administering and supporting Windows Server environments.
- Hands-on Experience with PowerShell and automation Scripting.
- Experience supporting business-critical production systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and performance management tools.
- Knowledge of high availability, server clustering, load balancing, and infrastructure resilience.
- Experience implementing operational automation and process improvements.
- Understanding of release, deployment, and change management processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting Majesco applications or platforms.
- Background within insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise application integrations.
- Familiarity with SQL and data investigation activities.
- Experience with ITIL-based support environments.
- Knowledge of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code practices.
