Job description
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to work one of the following shifts:
- Morning shift starting 6:00 AM ET
- Evening shift ending 10:00 PM ET
About the Role
Support secure, mission-critical environments that enable software development teams and mission users supporting national security. You'll troubleshoot complex technical issues, modernize infrastructure, automate repetitive tasks, and ensure reliable operations across classified environments.
What You'll Do
- Administer and maintain Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server environments
- Provide Tier II/III help desk and systems administration support
- Deploy, patch, harden, and secure systems using DoD STIGs
- Manage VMware and KVM virtual infrastructure
- Support AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or hybrid cloud environments
- Automate administration using Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis
- Support backups, disaster recovery, and enterprise storage
- Collaborate with software, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, cloud, and network engineers
- Participate in system upgrades, security remediation, and modernization efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6-10 years
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification (Security+, CASP+, CISSP, or equivalent)
- Experience with:
- Linux and Windows Server administration
- VMware and KVM virtualization
- AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or hybrid cloud
- Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, or Python automation
- STIG implementation, ACAS remediation, and RMF compliance
- Enterprise networking, storage, identity management, and authentication
- Troubleshooting enterprise infrastructure and user support issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community environments
Preferred Qualifications
- GEOINT or geospatial mission experience
- DevSecOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and certificate management
- Enterprise backup and recovery solutions
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management
- Agile software development experience, * AWS: 3 years (Required)
- System administration: 7 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- CompTIA Security+ (Required)
Security clearance:
- Top Secret (Required)
