Job description
The LMS Administrator administers, configures, and maintains the TJC online learning management system to ensure optimal functionality and performance., * Create and manage user accounts for faculty, staff, and students to ensure proper permissions and roles;
- Create, update, and manage course shells for faculty members;
- Monitor and troubleshoot LMS issues, providing timely support and resolution;
- Offer technical support and training to faculty, staff, and students on LMS usage, tools, and features;
- Collaborate with IT staff to address technical issues, software updates, and integrations with other systems;
- Assist users with troubleshooting, resolving common technical problems, and responding to Canvas support tickets;
- Collaborate with the Distance Education team to support the uploading, organization, and maintenance of digital learning materials, including multimedia, assignments, assessments, and resources;
- Ensures compliance with accessibility and copyright standards for online content;
- Establish and manage the subaccount storage structure within the LMS;
- Collect and analyze data on LMS usage and performance to identify trends and opportunities for improvement;
- Create SQL queries to pull strategic data for analysis and distribution;
- Generate regular and customized reports to provide insights to college leadership and faculty on learner engagement and course effectiveness, and other topics as needed;
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in LMS administration and online learning;
- Implement security protocols and ensure the protection of student and faculty data within the LMS;
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including FERPA and ADA guidelines;
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience Two years of related experience
