Job description

A Remote Software Engineer designs, builds, tests, and maintains software systems while collaborating with distributed teams across time zones. The role emphasizes asynchronous communication, clean code, scalable architectures, and measurable engineering outcomes. Remote engineers contribute to product development, system reliability, and continuous improvement using modern tooling and cloud-based workflows., Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for web, mobile, or backend systems.

Analyze requirements, recommend architectures, and implement features aligned with business KPIs (e.g., deployment frequency, reliability, defect rates).

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern programming languages and frameworks.

Build and maintain APIs (REST, GraphQL) and microservices for scalable distributed systems.

Conduct testing, debugging, and performance optimization across applications and services.

Collaborate asynchronously with cross-functional teams using remote-friendly tools and workflows.

Maintain documentation for codebases, systems, and processes to support long-term maintainability.

Stay current with emerging technologies, cloud platforms, and best practices in remote engineering.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role with remote-work capability.

Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar.

Strong understanding of software design principles, algorithms, and data structures.

Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and API integration.

Familiarity with Git-based version control and collaborative workflows.

Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively in distributed teams.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or distributed systems is a strong plus.

Preferred Skills

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.

Familiarity with microservices, containerization (Docker), or infrastructure-as-code.

Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) or backend frameworks (Django, Spring, Node.js).

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to contribute to architectural decisions.

Work Environment & Expectations

Fully remote role with asynchronous collaboration across USA time zones.

Use of cloud-based development environments, virtual meetings, and remote-friendly project management tools., Remote Software Engineers play a central role in building scalable digital products, improving system reliability, and accelerating development cycles. Their ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and deliver measurable outcomes makes them essential in modern distributed engineering teams.

Benefits & conditions

Salary ranges for remote software engineers typically fall between $70,000-$180,000 USD annually, depending on specialization and seniority.
