OpenAPI meets OpenAI

July 18, 2024 14:50 – 15:20 · 30 min STAGE 3 (120)

What this session covers

The OpenAPI specification is a powerful tool for describing APIs in web application development. Code generators enable the automated creation of client libraries and server stubs from an OpenAPI yaml file. Let’s use the recent advancements in AI technology (LLMs) to take this idea even further. In this talk we explore the possibilities to generate functioning backend endpoints and frontend views using LLMs based on a given OpenAPI specification. The real world applications of this idea ranges from rapid prototyping to reducing the amount of boilerplate code to be written.
