Happy engineer, happy company - how to optimize engineering productivity

What this session covers

How can companies improve engineering productivity – while also improving the happiness of devs and engineers at their workplace? Pipedrive uses a tool called GetDX. Or rather: Its engineers voluntarily use and contribute to GetDX. It functions like an engagement survey (with much greater detail): It collects feedback and sentiment, providing insights into what could or should be improved within the engineering department to ensure high engagement and an excellent workflow. GetDX evaluates the urgency and importance of upcoming issues, helping to prioritize tasks.

The fewer minor issues one encounters, the easier it is to work faster, more precisely, and more productively. Because, if engineers are happy, the company benefits as a whole. One of the key figures is the Developer Experience Index (DEI) - the higher it is, the happier engineers are. Response rates are extremely high (ca 95%). Why? Because it’s about seeing tangible actions taken based on the feedback.
