Building a framework-independent component library
Tobias Scholz
Senior Consultant
World Congress 2025
We are used to make code as abstract and reusable as possible. And that is great for libraries, that have to be agnostic to the use case. But we usually don’t create libraries. We create code to satisfy our business logic. So I challenge the idea of “good abstract and reusable code” by focusing on having the minimum viable interface in the context of React Components.
We will look at some examples how reducing the interface of our components, and being more aggressive with principles like YAGNI can help your codebase.
If you want to know how to create more readable, testable, and maintainable code, join me on this talk!
