Partnering with AI: Building Future-Ready Teams

June 30, 2026

What this session covers

AI promises to transform the way we work, improve productivity, speed up results. But in reality, 95% of organizations are seeing zero return on their GenAI investments because without intentional design, poor human-AI collaboration often leads to disengagement, cognitive offloading, and loss of meaning. This talk shares two real-world stories. The first is from a customer support team that added AI tools to handle requests faster. The second is from a QA team that used AI to increase productivity by helping them write test cases and checklists. Both teams saw the same challenge: as soon as AI took over routine work, people became less engaged and started questioning their own value. You’ll learn how those two teams reclaimed their engagement, meaning, and productivity through deliberate redesign of human-AI collaboration—co-creating team norms and decision-making frameworks that actually worked. You’ll walk away with practical steps grounded in workplace AI research that helped these teams reposition AI as a partner rather than a replacement. Successful AI adoption isn’t a tech challenge—it’s a human one. We need to intentionally design how teams work together, stay curious, think critically, and maintain their human edge while leveraging AI’s capabilities.
