Job description

  • Get developers to their first Plumber score: run Plumber on their pipelines, show them what it finds, and turn a number into a fix.
  • Run the community: Discord and GitHub are your home. You answer, you triage, you turn users into contributors.
  • Speak where developers are: conferences, meetups, podcasts. You write the CFPs, you give the talks, you run the demos that work.
  • Write what developers actually read: technical posts, docs people finish, real pipeline breakdowns.
  • Bring the outside in: you are the shortest path between what developers say and what we build.

Requirements

  • You are a developer, and engineers can tell: you read a pipeline, run a CLI, open a PR, hold your own.
  • CI/CD literate (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions). Curiosity about security matters more than security expertise.
  • You speak and you write: talks given, or things people shared. Bring links.
  • You like communities, not audiences: the tenth identical question tells you what to document next.
  • Real autonomy: a team of 5, no structure above you. You pick the bets, you measure them, you own them.
  • English is our working language, written and spoken.
  • Serious bonus: an existing audience, open-source maintainer experience, DevSecOps ecosystem, early-stage startup.
