Artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing how companies work, make decisions and organise processes. The next step is already becoming clear: moving beyond traditional AI applications that support individual tasks towards agentic AI – intelligent systems that can take on tasks independently, interact with other systems, prepare decisions and deliver measurable outcomes alongside people.

That is exactly what we are building our new 1st Solution AI team for in Barcelona.

As a new business unit within 1st solution group, we focus on AI agents, intelligent automation, machine learning and AI-based software development. Our ambition goes beyond building isolated AI features: we want to rethink entire processes and create systems that can take on real work.

A particular focus will be on agentic AI and multi-agent systems. Our vision is to build intelligent workflows and digital teams in which multiple AI agents take on different roles, collaborate with each other, use existing systems and work towards shared objectives.

We want to support our clients across the entire AI value chain – from the initial idea and identifying the right use case through architecture and development to secure production operations. Over time, this will also include consulting and enablement around modern AI and automation platforms as well as our own and client-specific solutions for LLM hosting, AI infrastructure, security and LLMOps.

Especially in enterprise environments, innovation and responsibility have to go hand in hand. For us, AI governance means making the use of AI transparent, secure and controllable – with clear responsibilities, data protection, security and appropriate human oversight.

We also see significant potential for new AI-based services, such as intelligent incident services that detect issues, combine information from different sources and automatically prepare or execute defined actions. Here, we can build on the strong foundation of 1st solution group: more than 25 years of experience, long-standing client relationships and access to complex challenges in large enterprise environments.

• Build and technically lead our Agentic AI team
• Architect AI agents, RAG, tool and workflow systems
• Select models, frameworks and platforms
• Take solutions from PoC to production
• Define standards for security, evaluations and observability
• Recruit, mentor and grow the engineering team
• Act as a technical sparring partner for management and clients

• Several years of experience in software, AI or ML engineering
• Strong Python and software architecture skills
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, agents, APIs and modern AI stacks
• Experience with cloud and production software systems
• Strong technical judgement, pragmatism and an entrepreneurial mindset
• Occasional presence in Düsseldorf Germany (headquarter office)
