Job description
- Install, terminate, test, and splice fiber optic cable
- Perform basic copper terminations (CAT3, CAT5) and install jacks
- Mount faceplates and surface-mount boxes
- Build out telecom closets (backboards, racks, patch panels, fiber hardware)
- Install cable tray, ladder rack, j-hooks, and support systems
- Pull fiber and copper cabling through pathways
- Perform continuity testing using a volt-ohmmeter
- Troubleshoot cable issues (opens, shorts, crossed pairs)
- Install connectors (LC, SC, ST, FC, MPO/MTP, etc.)
- Perform mechanical and fusion splicing
- Use OTDR for testing and troubleshooting fiber
- Assist higher-level techs, move materials, and support installs

Requirements
Fiber Optics Patch Panels Copper Cabling Health Advocacy Fiber Optic Cable Telecommunications Category 6 Cabling Category 5 Cabling Structured Cabling Working at Heights Wire And Cable Pulling Artificial Intelligence, * Experience with fiber optic cabling and installation
- Basic copper termination experience (CAT5/CAT6)
- Experience pulling cable and installing pathways (tray, j-hooks, racks)
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Comfortable working at heights and in tight spaces
Preferred
- OSHA 10 certification
- Confined space certification
- Scissor lift certification, * Active manufacturing facility
- Highly controlled, safety-focused job site
- Work is closely supervised-must follow all safety procedures
- Indoor environment with construction activity
Benefits & conditions
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, AZ. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
