Job description

You will play a key role in defining, analyzing, and validating space systems for advanced communications missions. This role emphasizes system requirements ownership, technical budget management, and verification closure across space vehicle and payload elements.

You will contribute to architecting and executing space systems while working across subcontractors and internal engineering teams. The day-to-day

  • Manage system and subsystem requirements, including decomposition and allocation
  • Own and maintain technical budgets for RF performance, power, mass, and data
  • Perform system and mission analyses using STK, MATLAB, or Python
  • Support space system architecture development and trade studies
  • Define and implement verification and validation activities
  • Ensure traceability from mission objectives through requirements and verification
  • Participate in major program reviews and technical interchange meetings
  • Identify and manage systemlevel risks and technical margins

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5-8 years of systems engineering experience on space programs
  • Demonstrated experience with requirements management and V&V
  • Practical understanding of space system budgets and interfaces
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • LI-BBS

Benefits & conditions

$120,500.00 - $190,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $149,500.00- $224,500.00/ annually
