Job description
As a Solution Architect, you will hold a broad remit of responsibilities, which may flex depending on the specific client engagement. You will provide technical leadership and architectural vision to multi-capability and often multi-geography teams, ensuring the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure technology solutions that deliver business-critical outcomes for our clients. You will apply your deep technical expertise and architectural understanding, coupled with a strong grasp of the telco industry (and wider TMT experience), to support clients in navigating their complex technical challenges.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Translate business requirements into comprehensive solution architectures, integrating OSS/BSS, network elements, customer experience platforms, and emerging technologies.
- Lead the design and implementation of digital transformation programmes, ensuring seamless integration across legacy and new systems.
- Develop technology roadmaps and solution blueprints that align with client strategy and industry best practices.
- Provide architectural governance and oversight across multi-disciplinary delivery teams, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Facilitate technical workshops with clients, guiding discussions on solution options, integration strategies, and operational impacts.
- Support business development through technical solutioning, bid preparation, and client presentations.
- Mentor junior architects and contribute to the growth of the solution architecture practice.
- Monitor market shifts and emerging technologies, proactively shaping technical strategies and internal capabilities to address evolving client challenges and opportunities.
Associate Director - Additional Responsibilities
In addition to the above, as an Associate Director you will:
- Drive business development and client relationship management, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the Tech M&A segment.
- Support leadership in growing the TMT practice, contributing to strategic planning, market positioning, and the development of new service offerings.
- Engage with senior client stakeholders at CxO level, influencing technology strategy and transformation agendas.
- Represent Deloitte in industry forums and thought leadership initiatives, enhancing the firmâs reputation and market presence.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Solution architecture?, * Extensive experience designing and integrating telco solutions across OSS/BSS, network management, customer experience, and digital channels.
- Deep hands-on expertise in designing and implementing telco solutions leveraging cloud services with a strong focus on cloud-native architectures, telco cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Proven track record in leading technical teams to deliver complex telco programmes, such as network modernisation, digital BSS/OSS transformation, and migration to virtualised or cloud-native network functions.

Strong understanding of core telco domains and technologies, including:
- OSS/BSS platforms (e.g., Amdocs, Netcracker, Ericsson, Nokia)
- Network management and orchestration (e.g., TM Forum Open APIs, eTOM, SID)
- Service fulfilment, assurance, and provisioning
- Customer experience platforms and digital channels
- Mediation, charging, and billing systems
- Integration with legacy and next-gen network elements (RAN, Core, Transport)

IoT, edge computing, and network slicing
- Experience in cloud readiness assessments and telco solution architecture definition, including the development of technical options and business cases for network transformation, cloud migration, and AI/ML-driven automation in telco operations.
- Ability to lead technical workshops with telco clients, guiding discussions on architecture patterns, network transformation strategies, and best practices for operational and business support systems.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences, including network engineers, IT teams, and senior business leaders.
- Commitment to mentoring and developing junior colleagues, sharing telco domain knowledge, and supporting the growth of a high-performing, inclusive team culture.
The following will be an added advantage:
- Familiarity with emerging telco trends, such as Open RAN, private 5G, MEC (Multi-access Edge Computing), and AI/ML use cases in network operations.
- Relevant cloud and telco certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TM Forum certifications).
- Experience in post-merger integration and large-scale telco digital transformation initiatives.
