Sr. Software Development Engineer

Position Summary: Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Scottsdale, AZ: Sr. Software Development Engineer to design and develop software applications and platforms to support digital strategies and solutions. Duties include: analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements; determine feasibility of solutions design and prepare technical design documentation; upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability; write and review high quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing; develop and deploy application components and support unit testing and bug fixes; participate in AGILE Scrum meetings and/or CI/CD; support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities; and collaborate with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical

requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices. Mentor junior team members. Telecommuting available. Multiple positions.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires five (5) years of experience in each of the following:

• CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps;

• Java, Python, or Node.js;

• XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript;

• ATG Commerce or Spring Boot microservices;

• Docker or Kubernetes;

• JIRA, Rally, or Confluence;

• Spark, Airflow, Kafka, Hbase, Pig, or NoSQL

• Cloud technologies: Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP);

• Machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling;

• SAS or SQL programming;

• Hadoop or Hive;

• HDFS commands;

• Oracle, Redis, or Cassandra;

• “Big data” platforms including Hadoop (Azure, GCP, or AWS)

• Software Development Life Cyle (SDLC);

• Software testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting;

• Domain support for healthcare or retail organization;

• Designing data models and solutions for analytical and reporting use cases; and

• Cloud components including cluster management, containerized services, storage, and workplace management.

Pay Range: $157934.00/year to $185400.00/year.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
