Job description

We are seeking a motivated Network Administrator / Security Administrator to assist with the administration, maintenance, and security of the organization’’s network, server, and endpoint infrastructure. This role will work closely with senior IT staff and vendors to support day-to-day operations, troubleshoot technical issues, manage security controls, and help maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements., Network Administration

  • Monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, wireless, and VPN connectivity.
  • Assist with the configuration and management of network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues.
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and inventory records.
  • Support network upgrades, deployments, and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor network utilization and identify potential issues before they impact operations.
  • Track network outages and follow through to resolution.

Security Administration

  • Monitor security alerts and investigate suspicious activity.
  • Assist in managing endpoint protection solution.
  • Support vulnerability scanning and remediation efforts.
  • Participate in patch management activities for servers, workstations, and network devices.
  • Assist with user account administration and access control reviews.
  • Help maintain security policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Support incident response and security investigations as needed.

Systems Administration Support

  • Create, modify, and disable user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
  • Assist with server maintenance and monitoring.
  • Support backup and disaster recovery processes.
  • Troubleshoot Windows desktop and server issues.

Compliance and Documentation

  • Assist with compliance initiatives such as CMMC, NIST 800-171, ISO 27001, or other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate system, network, and security documentation.
  • Participate in security awareness and training initiatives.
  • Support audits and compliance assessments.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in network administration, and/or cybersecurity.
  • Advanced networking skills and hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Understanding of common cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills., * Experience with Trend Vision One (or similar cybersecurity platform).
  • Skilled in Microsoft 365 and Azure.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Understanding of CMMC Level 2, NIST 800-171, or other cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Experience with SIEM, EDR, or security monitoring platforms.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting experience.

Preferred Certifications

  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Professional (CCNP)
  • ISC2 Security Administrator (SSCP)

Technical Skills

Preferred experience with:

  • Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and Umbrella
  • VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP
  • 802.1x, ISE preferred
  • Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Microsoft 365 Administration
  • Trend Vision One (or other Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions)
  • Vulnerability management tools
  • Backup and disaster recovery systems
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Network monitoring tools

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in server rooms and manufacturing environments when necessary.
  • Occasional after-hours maintenance and on-call support may be required.
  • Hybrid Work schedule.
