Job description
In this contingent resource assignment, you may participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within Network Engineering. You will review and analyze network engineering assignments or challenges requiring research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives related to low-to-medium risk deliverables. The role involves presenting recommendations, exercising independent judgment, and developing an understanding of organizational functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements while providing technical guidance to Network Engineering stakeholders. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Lead or support implementation of network security policies across routers and firewalls
- Manage and support production networks including IP backbone, data centers, and edge POPs
- Ensure continuous availability and reliability of network services
- Identify gaps, risks, and capacity issues; investigate and remediate as needed
- Perform proactive network testing and quarterly health checks
- Design, implement, and support VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer (Avi) and F5 LTM configurations
- Support NGDC and data center migration activities, including traffic cutovers and GSLB updates
- Provide consultation, troubleshooting, and change execution support with documented validation
- Partner with cross-functional infrastructure and application teams to improve standards and operations
- Mentor and support network operations staff
- Participate in on-call support as required (may include evening hours)
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in network operations and/or network implementation/engineering
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise load balancing platforms (VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer (Avi) and/or F5 LTM)

2+ years of Python and/or Ansible coding experiencePlusses:
- F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator or VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer (Avi) Operator certification
- Experience with GSLB/global traffic management and data center migration activities
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
