Job description

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of comprehensive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to visualize key performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions that support strategic initiatives.
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycles utilizing Agile methodologies and adhere to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices for delivering reliable BI solutions.
  • Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Talend, Python, Bash scripts, or VBA to ensure accurate data integration from diverse sources including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Linked Data repositories.
  • Perform advanced data analysis using R, SQL, and analytics techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies.
  • Design and optimize relational databases with a focus on database design principles to support scalable analytics environments.
  • Conduct business analysis by understanding operational workflows and translating them into technical specifications for BI systems enhancement.
  • Oversee project management activities related to BI initiatives, ensuring timely delivery while managing scope and resources effectively.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, workflows, and system architecture using Visio or similar tools for clarity and future reference.

  • Expertise in ETL tools such as Talend; scripting languages including Python, Bash (Unix shell), VBA; and SQL for data extraction and transformation tasks.

  • Knowledge of R programming language for statistical analysis; familiarity with linked data concepts enhances data connectivity across sources.
  • Business analysis skills to interpret operational needs into technical specifications; excellent analysis skills for identifying actionable insights from complex datasets.
