Job description

  • We are looking for a highly autonomous, senior-level QA Automation Engineer to improve our web application’s QA processes and testing infrastructure. This is not an execution-only role; you will be the primary strategist and architect responsible for taking our testing capabilities to the next level. You will walk into an environment that requires independent problem-solving, framework design, and a proactive “shift-left” engineering mentality. You will be expected to independently audit our existing codebase coverage, design robust end-to-end (E2E) test strategies, and seamlessly integrate automated production smoke tests into our deployment pipelines., * QA Strategy & Governance: Independently architect, scale, and own the E2E test strategy for complex web applications.
  • Framework Architecture: Build, maintain, and optimize robust automation frameworks utilizing Cypress and TypeScript/JavaScript to improve e2e coverage and automate production smoke testing.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Ownership: Automate and embed production smoke tests and regression suites directly into our CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, high-confidence deployments.
  • Technical Deep-Dives: Perform root-cause analysis on e2e failures, flaky tests, and pipeline bottlenecks by digging into Cypress and backend logs and interacting closely with software engineers.
  • Process Improvement: Lead high-impact testing initiatives (e.g., structuring efficient bug bashes, refining test case tracking workflows) and author clear, actionable technical documentation.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Selenium?, * Selenium, BDD - Behavior Driven Development, Zephyr, Cucumber, * 7+ years of dedicated QA experience, with a strong trajectory focusing heavily on web automation engineering (SDET).

  • Expert-level Cypress experience (2+ years of recent, intensive framework-building experience). Candidates with only Playwright, Selenium, or low-code/no-code recording tools will not be considered.
  • Strong Programming Skills: Proficient in TypeScript or JavaScript for writing clean, reusable automation code.
  • Backend Code Readability: Ability to comfortably read, navigate, and troubleshoot backend services written in Python or Go to identify defect root causes.
  • DevOps & CI/CD Expertise: Proven experience building automated “quality gates” in modern CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.).
  • Elite Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to articulate complex testing strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely.
