Job description
Praescient Analytics is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Chief Engineer / Lead Architect to drive the technical direction of the DIA’s Advanced Systems for Technical Research and Analysis (ASTRA) program. In this critical position, you will provide technical leadership and architectural governance across modern DevSecOps pipelines, cloud migration initiatives, and advanced AI/ML systems. You will collaborate closely with government stakeholders and senior leadership to guide strategic digital transformations that support critical intelligence and warfighting capabilities., * Architectural Direction: Define enterprise-level system architectures, technical standards, and integration strategies across multiple security domains and networks.
- Modernization & Cloud Migration: Act as the senior technical lead for the portfolio, spearheading the strategic migration of legacy applications to secure cloud-based Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments.
- DevSecOps & CI/CD Pipelines: Establish, maintain, and secure automated continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Technical Governance & Compliance: Ensure all solution designs align with the agency’s enterprise standards, security mandates, and the DIA Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) for advanced analytics and AI/ML capabilities.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Resolve highly complex technical roadblocks, lead technical reviews, and mentor the engineering and software development staff.

Requirements
- Experience: 13+ years of comprehensive experience in data architecture, enterprise data strategy, and organizational data governance.
- AI/ML Authority: Proven capability in designing novel algorithms for complex intelligence problems, with expertise in state-of-the-art techniques including transformer architectures, generative AI, and advanced neural networks.
- AI Assurance: Deep knowledge of DIA QAF compliance, model governance, uncertainty quantification, and AI assurance methodologies.
- Strategic Influence: Experience guiding enterprise-wide AI initiatives, shaping digital transformations, and producing published research or recognized contributions to the AI/ML field
- Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Data Architecture, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Cloud & DevOps Expertise: Demonstrated senior-level experience architecting and delivering cloud-native solutions (PaaS) and automated CI/CD pipelines in secure federal or DoD/IC environments.
