Digital Sr. Development Engineer

Position Summary: CVS Pharmacy Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Alpharetta, GA: Digital Sr. Development Engineer to design and develop enterprise software applications and platforms to support digital strategies and solutions. Duties include: analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements; determine feasibility of solutions design and prepare technical design documentation; upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability; write and review high quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing; develop and deploy application components and support unit testing and bug fixes; participate in AGILE Scrum meetings and/or CI/CD; support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities; and collaborate with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices; and mentor junior team member. Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Also requires two (2) years of experience with each of the following: Cloud technologies: Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP); developing cloud data pipeline services for data optimization; automating test process and update reporting software to monitor test outputs; GIT or Hadoop; CI/CD, Jenkins, or Python; SQL; Connecting unit tests to build process to complete integration testing; Developing end-to-end applications and leveraging new technologies available in cloud environment; Developing database schema and related queries to build backend application; Implementing unit test cases to automate quality control process; Working on Big Query projects for extracting the data required for web analytics; and

Implementing a Proof of Concept to demonstrate potential technologies to be used in developing applications.

Pay Range: $109283.00/year to $185400.00/year.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
