  • This role focuses on automating infrastructure, optimizing system performance, and ensuring secure, compliant operations within a cloud-based environment
  • The engineer will work in a collaborative, team-oriented setting to enable continuous integration and delivery of mission-critical capabilities, primarily within a SCIF environment, * Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and Ansible to automate provisioning and configuration of cloud resources
  • Create scripts and automation solutions using Python and other scripting languages to streamline operations and improve efficiency
  • Manage and maintain RHEL systems, including patching, hardening, and ensuring compliance with security requirements
  • Install, configure, and optimize container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker Compose
  • Support data flow and processing tools such as NiFi and integrate with cloud-native logging and monitoring solutions
  • Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab runners and Argo CD to automate build, test, and deployment processes
  • Administer and support AWS cloud environments, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and metrics collection to support system health and performance analysis
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues in a distributed, microservices-based environment
  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services, + Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure including but not limited to EC2, Lambdas, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Router, Athena, Step Functions using Terraform and auto scaling
  • Understanding of AWS networking principles to include VPCs, NATs, IP Gateway
  • Develop and manage Gitlab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure system uptime
  • Kubernetes experience with a focus on EKS, ECS, and/or Fargate

Requirements

  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Nine (9) years or more of professional experience; or seven (7) years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree
  • Current Security+CE certificate
  • Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and IaC

Benefits & conditions

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The pay range for this role is:

115,000 - 155,000 USD per year (NBP)
