A day in the life
You’ll start your day collaborating with team members on a new algorithm to optimize package routing across international borders. After lunch, you’ll dive into coding, implementing improvements to the distributed system that tracks millions of shipments in real-time. You might attend a weekly learning session to stay updated on industry trends or participate in a mentoring program. Your day could end with a brainstorming session for the upcoming hackathon or joining colleagues for a friendly board game night.

Requirements
Strong understanding of database theory and experience with relational or non-relational data stores

Interpersonal and communication skills

Obsession with quality and customer experience

Ability to think abstractly while maintaining attention to detail

Passion for architecting and developing large-scale distributed technology solutions, 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
-
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
-
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
-
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
-
Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Technology, Science, Operations Research, Robotics, Mathematics or related fields, or a Doctorate/PhD or equivalent and experience working for Amazon or any Amazon subsidiary or affiliate
