Job description
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will leverage statistical analysis, machine learning, and data science methodologies to develop innovative analytic products that support cyber defense operations and intelligence analysts. You will work with large, complex datasets to build predictive models, evaluate machine learning algorithms, identify anomalous activity, and improve cyber mission effectiveness., * Develop, train, and deploy machine learning and statistical models supporting Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO)
- Design and implement analytic solutions that provide actionable intelligence for cyber analysts and mission operators
- Perform anomaly detection and behavioral analysis across large and complex datasets
- Evaluate and validate machine learning models to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, and operational relevance
- Develop data processing workflows and model documentation to support repeatable, scalable analytics
- Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and emerging threats
- Collaborate with software developers, cyber operators, engineers, and intelligence analysts to integrate AI/ML capabilities into operational environments
- Create visualizations and reports that communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement of AI/ML models and analytic methodologies
- Contribute to research, prototyping, and implementation of emerging artificial intelligence technologies
Requirements
Do you have experience in Model evaluation?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, The ideal candidate has experience applying AI/ML techniques within cyber operations and enjoys solving challenging problems in fast-paced, mission-focused environments., * Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Assurance, Information Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical discipline and 8+ years of relevant experience
- An advanced degree may be substituted for a portion of the required experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO)
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing machine learning models and performing statistical model evaluation
- Experience applying statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to solve complex technical problems
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced operational environments, * Master’s degree in a related technical discipline
- Demonstrated proficiency with:
- Python
- R
- SQL
- Experience manipulating and analyzing both large and small datasets
- Experience with:
- Jupyter Notebooks
- Network analysis tools
- AWS cloud environments
- Big Data Platform (BDP)
- Knowledge of:
- Cisco networking concepts (CCNA-level knowledge)
- STIGs
- IAVA processes
- Strong experience administering or working within:
- Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)
- Windows environments
- Virtualized infrastructure
- Experience supporting Computer Network Operations (CNO), cyber analytics, or cloud-based software development projects
- Ability to translate mission objectives into innovative engineering and data science solutions
