Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant database application development
  • Experience in relational database technology (such as Postgres or MySQL)
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers to drive positive business outcomes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous, evolving requirements, * Deep, hands-on technical expertise with PostgreSQL databases
  • Experience with database migration patterns and tooling
  • Experience with distributed systems and multi-region architectures

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Aurora DSQL automatically manages and scales system resources, so you don’t have to worry about maintenance downtime and provisioning, patching, or upgrading infrastructure.

As a Senior Database Engineer for Aurora DSQL, you will lead technical enablement for our business-critical customers. You will solve complex migration and query performance problems while helping customers transition from traditional databases to distributed, multi-region architectures. You will be responsible for working with engineers and customers to define best practices for Aurora DSQL adoption and integration. You will influence product direction by channeling customer feedback and technical insights directly to engineering teams, shaping features used by some of the world’s largest companies. You will also work with our field teams to scale knowledge and drive broader DSQL adoption across the customer base.
