Job description

Join us as a Principal Mechanical Systems Design Engineer and bring your expertise to projects that span HVAC systems, structural engineering, and integrated mechanical solutions. You’ll lead technical strategy, solve complex challenges, and deliver designs that make a real difference for our customers.

Join our Global Solutioning Program where you will support national strategic accounts delivering advanced automation solutions for Data Center BMS / EPMS customers-from Grid to Chip and Chip to Chiller. You will influence architecture, systems, and product selections for data center applications as a subject matter expert. You will work hands - on with customers early in the design cycle to understand challenges and shape solutions that support the build - out and operation of their facilities. You will also identify potential offer enhancements and collaborate with Line of Business teams to drive innovation and new technology deployment for our operations teams.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver expert technical guidance for operations and delivery teams
  • Support technical workshops and customer design sessions
  • Collaborate with competency centers and LoB experts to bring the right technical resources to delivery turn key solutions
  • Influence future data center designs and technology adoption
  • Support Account Managers and Commercial Sales Leaders with project proposals and solution scoping

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
  • Ability to influence technical decisions and align solutions to customer objectives
  • Proven ability to collaborate across large, international organizations and build strong internal networks
  • Curiosity and willingness to continuously learn new technologies, * Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years in technical roles within critical facilities (design engineering, product/system development, solution architecture)
  • 5+ years of customer-facing technical experience, with the ability to lead technical discussions and workshops
  • Strong technical judgment with the ability to coordinate expertise across Schneider Electric teams
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • English fluency required

Benefits & conditions

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 142,400 - USD 213,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
