Sr. SDET (Python) - INTL LATAM - REMOTE

A client of ours in the streaming space is in need of hiring a Sr. Software Development in Test Engineer (SDET) to join their Engineering Services team, specifically a part of their Ad Server/Platform Digital Engineering team. You will be responsible for building test automation and processes to ensure the quality of the advertising systems. When this client’s systems work properly, they are able to reliably deliver relevant ads to all of their viewers; driving higher revenue for their business and which ultimately helps their customers to discover brands and products that are relevant to their interests. Defects in their ad systems can negatively impact revenue and deliver advertisements that detract from the viewer experience due to irrelevance, repetition and other factors. excel in this role are independent, creative, and able to operate effectively in ambiguous circumstances. This is a heavy testing/quality engineering role where the results of this individual’s testing will have significant impact on the business and be highly visible to company leadership. This role is 100% back-end testing using Python and Behave (BDD) (i.e. API testing, microservices, some contract testing and asynchronous testing, etc.), 4-5+ years of hands-on Python software test development experience (SDET), including both functional and non-functional test development

-Automation experience

-Proficiency in Python for both programming AND testing

-Proficiency in API testing, microservices, white-box testing, load-testing, contract testing, back-end testing, asynchronous testing, etc.

-Experience building or improving test automation frameworks AND testing microservices

-Strong desire for establishing and improving product quality

-Proficiency CI/CD integration and pipeline development in Jenkins, Spinnaker or other similar tools

-Willingness to take challenges head on while being part of a team -Experience with Behave (BDD) for testing
