IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/INFOSEC)

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command., * Develops and implements systems diagnostic and maintenance tools to ensure the availability and functionality of systems required to support organizational objectives.

• Ensures the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of system administration services.
• Oversees the management of accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment. Develops and presents training on the operation and maintenance of systems to the IT staff.
• Applies deep expertise of systems integration, performance tuning, evaluation methods, and project management principles sufficient to maintain, plan and coordinate the installation of new products or equipment in a Windows or PC environment.

For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: serving as a technical analyst and primary customer liaison responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex application issues, managing support policies, and analyzing trend data to optimize business-critical customer support operations; developing and managing customer performance requirements, support policies and procedures.
