Position Summary: Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI: Sr. Software Development Engineer to design and develop software applications and platforms to support digital strategies and solutions. Duties include: analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements; determine feasibility of solutions design and prepare technical design documentation; upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability; write and review high quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing; develop and deploy application components and support unit testing and bug fixes; participate in AGILE Scrum meetings and/or CI/CD; support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities; and collaborate with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical

requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices. mentor junior team members; independently lead development of solutions with high complexity and risk; and set priorities and strategy for the software development organization. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires five (5) years of experience in each of the following: Operating Systems; Programming language: Java, JavaScript; J2EE; XML, JSON, HTML, or CSS; Databases: DB2, PostgreSQL, and Oracle; JIRA, Rally, and Confluence; Pega; Implementing client functionality requests; and Developing quality application design and process flows, performing code reviews, and collaborating with peers on software development solutions. Position also requires one (1) year of experience involving: building and configuring applications; application troubleshooting, debugging, and deployment; collaborating with software development teams; and presentation of technical proposals and solutions to stakeholders.

Benefits & conditions

Pay Range: $147680.00/year to $203940.00/year.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
