Job description

Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a Co-Op to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Newport News, VA. Where Technology and Teamwork come together… The qualified applicant will become part of Newport News Shipbuilding’s Information Technology Division. The Information Technology Division has many capabilities that allow it to be an industry leader, in areas such as: security, simulation, training, enterprise-level IT solutions and products, information systems and services, and engineering. As a result, Co-Ops receive a diverse experience. Our premier Co-Op program provides opportunities to work within areas of the information technology field such as Software Engineering, Information Security, Project Management, Networking, Telecommunications, and the Program Management Office

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Must be a full time student enrolled in a 4-year college/university.
  • Must have completed freshman year.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
  • Unofficial transcripts are required when applying. Failure to upload transcripts at time of application will result in automatic disqualification.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of specific equipment and technologies is desired, but not required as this is an internship that will expose the intern to a variety of information technologies.
