This role is based in the EMEA region (to accommodate global training across regions - North America, Asia Pacific etc); fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese is a plus but not critical. Key Responsibilities Identify Training Needs: Analyze organizational and customer needs to pinpoint knowledge gaps in data center and digital infrastructure expertise, and develop impactful training solutions to address those gaps Subject Matter Expertise : Engage with cross-functional stakeholders (product owners, learning design, engineering teams, SMEs) to establish training requirements and define clear learning objectives for new, existing courses and learning pathways. Work closely with our Learning Design teams to develop comprehensive course curricula and materials covering data center architecture, operations, and best practices, ensuring effective and relevant learning experiences. Instruction & Delivery: Deliver high-quality, instructor-led training sessions (virtual and in-person) and hands-on workshops. Incorporate labs and real-world scenarios to reinforce learning (e.g., handling hands-on labs and guiding learners through real-life scenarios). Confidently address complex technical questions from experienced engineers during training sessions, providing expert explanations and solutions. Subject Matter Collaboration: Work with subject matter experts to review training content and deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and incorporating industry best practices. Represent DCD> Academy across industry events where you will demo solutions and/or moderate panels of industry experts talking about a particular important subject for the data center / digital infrastructure market. Continuous Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs in partnership with customer success, product and learning design departments through data-driven insights to continuously refine curriculum and delivery methods, championing a culture of ongoing improvement in the learning program. Qualifications and Skills Data Center Experience: Extensive experience in data center design and/or operations e.g., implementing redundant power, cooling and network systems to prevent outages Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of data center infrastructure components and best practices - including power, cooling, backup power/generators, networking, and server hardware. Experience with HPC, mission-critical environments and uptime requirements is preferred. Communication & Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, engaging manner. Able to adjust teaching style for varied audiences and facilitate interactive discussions. Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills - capable of troubleshooting complex technical issues and addressing challenging questions on the fly. A solid track record of resolving issues in live operational environments or during training Q&A is ideal. Collaboration & Leadership: Strong stakeholder collaboration and project/program management abilities, with the interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally and drive initiatives to completion. Comfortable coordinating with product managers, engineers, and other teams to achieve training goals. Education & Certification: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (required). Industry recognition is a plus. Location: EMEA-based candidates strongly preferred (must be located in or willing to work within the Europe and North America time zones to accommodate global training schedules). Language: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a significant plus for broader regional engagement.
