Experience leading data engineering teams, practices, or communities
A strong DE background, with hands on experience of Databricks
Good knowledge of AWS and modern data architectures.
Recent exposure to AI and MLOps.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
The technical credibility to ask the right questions, challenge when needed, and make sure the team is delivering high-quality solutions.
Benefits & conditions
Salary: Circa £110,000 + 20% bonus + Company car etc
Location: UK (Remote first, looking at 2 days a month in either Birmingham, London or Basingstoke)
No VISA support
We are looking for someone to build, mature, and lead the organisation’s Data Engineering Practice
.
This is a leadership focused role, not particularly hands on, but needs credibility understanding modern tooling, such as Databricks and with a passion for developing people, driving standards etc
What you’ll be doing:
Help shape and grow their Data Engineering Practice,
Support and mentor engineers, helping progress their careers.
Act as the link between engineering teams and senior leadership.
Drive the adoption of modern DE approaches, with a focus on AI and MLOps.
