Job description

Kaizen Approach is currently seeking a Configuration Manager to support configuration management activities for developmental and operational systems. In this role, you will work with development and operational teams to create, maintain, and manage configuration baselines across development, test, and production environments. This position involves implementing and enforcing configuration management policies and procedures, utilizing automated CM tools, and performing change control and configuration audits. You will support mission-critical systems by applying configuration management discipline across the full system life cycle, from initial requirements and capability baselines through system end-of-life.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to assist in implementing, and independently implement, hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures, and ensure they are followed on hardware and software development projects.
  • Must possess the ability to assist in, utilize, manage, maintain, and develop configuration management tools (e.g., DOORS, Eclipse) to store, track, and manage configuration items across developmental and operational environments.
  • Must be capable of understanding and applying configuration management concepts, and assisting in documenting hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures.
  • Must have the ability to understand basic concepts and assist in maintaining, managing, and developing the configuration management environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing, and integration.
  • Must possess the ability to assist in defining, and independently define and implement, hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, including creating product build scripts and procedures and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build process.
  • Must have the ability to develop hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures, manage and maintain the configuration management environment, and work independently to support full lifecycle configuration management activities.
  • Must be capable of serving as an advisor to, or non-voting member of, the Government Change Control Board (CCB) while managing configuration management activities that support controlled change and system integrity.
  • Must have eight (8) years of experience as a Configuration Manager on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity (six (6) years with a Master’s degree), and if assigned to a developmental program, must also have one (1) year of experience using a source code control system for a developmental program of similar scope and complexity.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university, OR twelve (12) years of Configuration Management experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.

Salary Range: A variety of factors can impact the final salary offered, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
