Secondary Skills: Data Modeling Data Warehousing JIRA Git/Version Control AutoSys Python PowerShell Production Support Agile/Scrum Troubleshooting & RCA, “As a Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions that support critical business applications. This role requires deep expertise in SQL development, data integration, and reporting, ensuring high-performance, scalable, and reliable data systems in a multi-tiered environment., Designing, developing, and maintaining database schemas, tables, views, and indexes in SQL Server and PostgreSQL.

Writing, optimizing, and maintaining complex stored procedures, functions, and queries for performance and scalability.

Developing and maintaining ETL processes using SSIS (or equivalent tools) to support data integration and transformation.

Designing and implementing reporting solutions using SSRS and Power BI.

Performing data analysis, data modeling, and database performance tuning.

Collaborating with application developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure efficient data solutions.

Troubleshooting database issues, including performance bottlenecks, data integrity issues, and ETL failures.

Ensuring data quality, consistency, and security across systems.

Supporting production systems and providing second-level technical support for database-related issues.

Documenting database designs, processes, and standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Strong xperience in database development and management.

Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.

Extensive experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.

Hands-on experience with ETL processes and tools such as SSIS.

Experience with reporting tools such as SSRS.

Experience building dashboards and reports using Power BI.

Strong understanding of database design, normalization, and data modeling.

Experience working in multi-tier application environments.

Experience with version control tools such as DataCal, Radical, or similar source control systems.

Experience working with JIRA for issue tracking, task management, and Agile workflows.

Desired Skill:

Familiarity with version control tools such as Git (in addition to DataCal/Radical).

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and architectures.

Exposure to automation/scheduling tools (e.g., AutoSys or similar schedulers).

Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for data processing.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
