Job description
Every day, we receive thousands of pounds of electronics from businesses, schools, government agencies, and community recycling events. Nothing leaves our warehouse until we’ve determined its highest and best use. Your role is to identify, sort, recover, and prepare valuable materials-including copper, aluminum, steel, circuit boards, plastics, wire, batteries, and reusable equipment-for their next destination. Every pallet you process helps recover value while supporting a cleaner, more sustainable future.
What You’ll Do
- Sort incoming electronics into reusable equipment and recyclable commodity streams.
- Identify and separate copper, aluminum, steel, wire, circuit boards, plastics, batteries, power supplies, and other recoverable materials.
- Inspect incoming material and determine its highest and best use through reuse, refurbishment, parts recovery, or responsible recycling.
- Load, unload, move, and organize material using pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment following training.
- Drive a 26-foot box truck to support local pickups, deliveries, and community electronics recycling events.
- Pick, pack, palletize, wrap, and prepare outbound shipments for customers, freight carriers, and downstream recyclers.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse while meeting daily productivity and quality goals.
- Work closely with teammates and management to improve processes, solve problems, and support a culture of continuous improvement.
- Occasionally support Saturday community electronics recycling events throughout the St. Louis region., You’ll probably enjoy working at Tech Remove if you:
- Like staying active and working with your hands.
- Enjoy creating order from chaos.
- Can quickly identify, sort, and organize materials.
- Take pride in a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
- Work well independently without constant supervision.
- Adapt quickly when priorities change.
- Communicate respectfully and work well as part of a team.
- Show up on time, ready to work, every day.
- Don’t mind warehouse conditions, including summer heat, winter cold, dust, and physical work.
- Want to learn new skills and grow with a company that’s continually improving.
This position isn’t for everyone-and that’s okay. If you’re looking for a desk job or a climate-controlled office, you’ll probably be happier somewhere else. But if you enjoy working hard, solving practical problems, and seeing the direct results of your effort every day, we’d love to meet you.
